RECOM has a vast range of standard, cost-effective products available through a global distribution network. Over several years, the company has modified these products for specifical customer requirements. Now, it also offers a semi- or full product design and manufacturing service tailored to your specification. RECOM’s specific areas of expertise are high power AC/DC and DC/DC power supplies, battery chargers/conditioners, inverters, PFC front-ends and fuel cell converters. The range of applications that can be addressed is wide, comprising commercial, medical, energy, aerospace, rail and full defense. RECOM and its sister company PCS, have a large library of platform designs that can be quickly adapted to specific requirements with minimum technical risk. Many of these designs already have safety and EMC certifications that can be maintained while adapting them for custom solutions, if the changes are minor.
Custom designs can also be considered for lower power AC/DC and DC/DC products that can benefit from the automated, high volume RECOM production lines for cost-effective solutions. Since your custom requirement may have been already developed for another application, do check your specification. Some modifications – such as minor changes to output voltage or pinning – can be easily accommodated at a minimal cost. In such cases, the existing safety certifications usually remain valid, saving you further expense.
RECOM has design teams in Austria, Italy, China, and Taiwan, who can design using the latest techniques and well experienced with CAD tools for circuit and thermal simulation. In-house EMC test facilities can confirm compliance with international specifications, and RECOM’s safety specialists can ensure that the designs meet the application requirements. Mobility

High Power Density

Full-function switching regulators and isolated DC/DC converters are now available in micro-miniature formats using a variety of advanced packaging techniques and circuit designs.
Gate Drivers
The simplest (functional) isolation of a DC/DC converter can withstand 1kVDC for one second, however this is often not sufficient for high-side gate drivers. RECOM combines the required high insulation voltage, asymmetric output voltages, and low isolation capacitance into one simple DC/DC module.
