Applications have to be submitted online via the RECOM career portal on the website. If you cannot find the right position, you can also send us an unsolicited application. The application documents should include at least a current CV, an individualized cover letter and your most recent references.
The apprenticeship lasts three years without any special regulations. There are options for a shortened apprenticeship in the case of pre-apprenticeship periods.
If you do an apprenticeship at RECOM HQ, you will attend vocational school in Gmunden or Vöcklabruck for 10 weeks at a time.
Practical experience on the job, remuneration during the apprenticeship, acquisition of a recognized professional qualification and the possibility of being a long-term employee of RECOM one day.
Apprenticeship pay is regulated by law and increases with each year of apprenticeship. The current salary can be found in the collective agreement for the retail sector.
The weekly working time is 38.5 hours.

Trained assistant for finance and accounting, continues to work after completing apprenticeship
“I started my apprenticeship at RECOM as an assistant for finance and accounting in September 2015 and was warmly welcomed into the RECOM family. In 2016, I started my “Apprenticeship with Matura”, in which I was encouraged to ask my colleagues every query I had, regarding vocational school or the Matura course. I completed my apprenticeship in 2018 and was allowed to continue working at RECOM after my apprenticeship. In the meantime, I have successfully completed both the Matura and the accountancy exam. From then on, I was no longer considered an apprentice and was given my own activities and tasks. Even now, RECOM supports me fully in continuing my education.”

“In September 2015, I started my apprenticeship at RECOM, Gmunden, as an operational logistics clerk. In 2018, I successfully completed my apprenticeship with RECOM and after that, I worked in RECOM’s warehouse for another 2.5 years. Although I was very happy with this experience, I always wanted to work in the office. RECOM honored this wish of mine and gave me the chance to move to the administration team. This change enabled me to learn the work done in the office. I’m happy that I got the opportunity to work in such a great company for so long.”

"I started my apprenticeship as an office administrator in September 2022 and am very happy that I chose this path. From my first day, I felt like I was part of the team and was warmly welcomed. My work is very varied, and I get lots of opportunities for various training courses and further education. After a short time, I was assigned my own tasks, which I was able to complete successfully.
