Coordinator for Customs and Transport Management (m/f/x)

This role is responsible for managing all import customs and transport processes in international trade, focusing on imports from Asia. The main tasks include improve processes to increase efficiency, minimize risks and reduce costs in import operations.

TASKS:

  • Strategic management of forwarders, including selection and negotiation
  • Development, optimization and coordination of customs processes with internal interfaces, customs authorities and forwarding agents (declarants)
  • Monitoring of international customs and transport regulations (e.g. changes in customs law, Incoterms)
  • Risk analysis and management in international trade operations
  • Responsibility for reviewing, approving and ensuring legal compliance of import and customs documents
  • Customs value analysis and verification
  • Tariff classification of goods and obtaining binding tariff information (BTI)
  • Monitoring of transport lead times and delivery dates
  • Audits and internal reviews in the area of customs and transport

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completed commercial training or degree with a focus on logistics, foreign trade or customs
  • Several years of professional experience in customs and international transport (express, air and sea freight)
  • In-depth knowledge of customs law (customs-specific training or further education is an advantage)
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
  • Independent and structured way of working
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Analytical thinking and high attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team and think across departments

Employment Information: The market-conform, attractive and performance-related salary for this position is determined from the minimum salary that must be announced in Austria of € 39.200 per year on a full-time basis and from a significant overpayment depending on qualifications and professional experience.
