REM60-W Delivers 60W with Medical Certification

60W of output power is now available from a wide-input DC/DC with high-grade medical certifications in a compact board-mount format with industry-standard pin-out.
Our new cost-effective REM60-W series includes two input ranges, 9-36VDC and 18-75VDC, with a selection of single and dual outputs: 5V, 5.1V, 12V, 15V, 24V +/-12V, and +/-15V, all tightly regulated. Output power rating is 60W in a case size of just 2.3” x 1.5” x 0.5” (57.9 x 36.8 x 12.7mm) achieving industry-leading power density while efficiency peaks at over 90% enabling operation up to 105°C ambient with some derating, less with airflow.
The REM60-W series features 5kVAC/1min reinforced/2 x MOPP medical-grade isolation at 250VAC working voltage. Creepage/clearance distance from input to output is more than 8mm and patient leakage current is 4.5µA maximum, to suit medical B, BF, and CF applications.
Medical safety certifications include IEC/EN 60601-1 3rd edition, ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1, and CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 60601-1:14 to cover global markets. The series is also compliant with EN 60601-1-2 for EMI immunity for medical equipment. Other certifications include IEC/UL/EN 62368-1 for the IT/multimedia markets while EMI limits for conducted noise, EN 55032 Class A and B, can be met with simple external filters. Operation to 5000m altitude is specified and the parts are rated for a pollution degree 2 (PD2) environment. MTBF is high at over 1Mhrs according to MIL-HDBK-217F, Ground Benign conditions, 25°C.
On/Off control, remote sense, and output voltage trimming is included as well as full protection against output overloads, short circuits, input under voltage, and over-temperature. No-load and standby current is low and light load efficiency is high for energy-sensitive applications.
