Switching regulators are the perfect substitute for inefficient linear regulators. These products enable the replacement of inefficient linear regulators with a converter that features 97% efficiency, thereby obviating the need for a heat-sink. These drop in pin-compatible replacements are easy to integrate into existing designs without changing the PCB layout. Due to fully automated manufacturing, RECOM is able to drive down cost without compromising on quality or reliability, above all with the new K-series.

RECOM’s cost effective fully integrated power modules have been designed to offer all the advantages of a discrete switching regulator (high efficiency, wide input range and accurate output voltage regulation) but in a complete, tested, and compact SMD module. Due to their high efficiency of up to 91%, no heat-sink is required, further saving space and cost.
