Accessibility

1. Introduction

RECOM strives to make its website as accessible as possible. The aim is to provide all users – regardless of individual limitations – with equal access to information and digital services. For this reason, we voluntarily align with the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

2. Status of compliance with the requirements

This website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. There are still some barriers, which are described below.

3. Non-accessible content

The following content is currently not fully accessible for the following reasons:

  • Missing alternative texts for images: Some images on the website do not have descriptive alternative texts, which makes use difficult for screen reader users.
  • Insufficient color contrast: Certain text and background color combinations do not meet the required contrast ratios, which may impair readability.
  • Non-optimized keyboard navigation: Some interactive elements are not fully accessible via keyboard.
  • Missing ARIA labels: Some interactive components do not have appropriate ARIA labels, which limits accessibility for assistive technologies.
  • Technical limitations: Some embedded content (e.g. from YouTube, Google Maps, SnapMagic, and SupplyFrame) is outside our sphere of influence and cannot currently be offered in a fully accessible manner.

4. Preparation of this statement

The website was evaluated through automated tests using tools (WAVE, ARC Toolkit), as well as manual checks including NVDA (screen reader), keyboard navigation and visual review. We are continuously working to identify and eliminate existing barriers.
