Apprentice Team Logistic Order Administration

"I started my apprenticeship as an office clerk in September 2022 and am very happy that I chose this path. From day one I felt like part of the team and was warmly welcomed. My work is very diverse and I get many opportunities for various training courses, which is very helpful.

After a short time I was assigned my own tasks and was able to work independently. Really remarkable is the cooperation and support that is available in the department/company.

At RECOM, great care is taken to ensure that there is a good working atmosphere and that every employee feels comfortable. There are also team events and trips, such as the company trip to Italy a weekend long next year, or smaller trips just with my own department. It's very nice to do something with my colleagues outside of work.

A little info from me: if you pass all 3 years of vocational school as an apprentice with an "excellent result", RECOM will pay your driver's license and that's a great motivation for me to do my best! 😉"

Apprentice Production Planning & Purchasing

"In August 2022 I started my apprenticeship as an office clerk in purchasing at RECOM. I was warmly welcomed from the start.

If I have any questions, I can always turn to my colleagues because they are very helpful. The atmosphere in the office is very relaxed, which makes working very pleasant. Not only at work we are a good team, we also like to do something together in our free time.

In the first few weeks I learned various tasks that I could allocate to myself in everyday life. Through the company events, training opportunities and so on you feel very valued as an employee."

Bernadett (26)

Apprentice Production Planning & Purchasing

"I started my apprenticeship as an office clerk at RECOM in April 2022.

What I really like is working in a team and always being in a good mood. We also have a lot of fun outside of working hours, e.g. at team events.

We have a really good working atmosphere where I feel well supported by my colleagues. Employee satisfaction is important to the company, and even as an apprentice you become a member of the RECOM family.

I very quickly became independent in my tasks and had a great deal of trust in my colleagues. My ideas and possible suggestions related to the work were valued and listened to from the beginning.”

My way from a RECOM apprentice to an office clerk

"I started my apprenticeship as an office clerk at RECOM in autumn 2019 and was able to successfully complete my education with the final apprenticeship exam on June 20th, 2022.

From day one, I was amazed at how diverse the tasks in my department are and how much I learned in the first few days. I was very trusted right from the start and after just a few weeks I was able to handle tasks on my own. This trust not only gave me a very good feeling, but also the motivation to do everything as perfectly as possible.

Even as an apprentice, I was given the opportunity to complete training courses and continue my education, which I thought was very cool. What I liked best was being able to work and help out in other departments. As a result, I got to know many other areas and quickly learned to understand the processes I deal with on a daily basis much better.

And because I feel so comfortable at RECOM and have been given the opportunity to stay, I have been employed in "my" department since June 2022. I can highly recommend RECOM to anyone interested in an apprenticeship!”

Barbara (21)

Trained assistant for finance and accounting, continues to work after completing apprenticeship

“I started my apprenticeship at RECOM as an assistant for finance and accounting in September 2015 and was warmly welcomed into the RECOM family. In 2016, I started my “Apprenticeship with Matura”, in which I was encouraged to ask my colleagues every query I had, regarding vocational school or the Matura course.

During my apprenticeship, I took up various courses through which I was able to build on my education and perfect my skills. In addition, I was given the opportunity to work in different departments for a week, so as to get an idea of the work done by the other departments.

I completed my apprenticeship in 2018 and was allowed to continue working at RECOM after my apprenticeship. From then on, I was no longer considered an apprentice and was given my own activities and tasks. Even now, RECOM supports me fully in continuing my education.”

Lena (22)

Trained operational logistics clerk, moved to another department within the company after completing apprenticeship

“In September 2015, I started my apprenticeship at RECOM, Gmunden, as an operational logistics clerk. The job responsibilities of an operational logistics clerk are very varied and can be categorized as office and warehouse activities.

There was always excellent cooperation among all apprentices. Apprentices were also given a good insight into the work done by other departments. We attended many team events and also visited the Electronica fair in Munich. In 2018, I successfully completed my apprenticeship with RECOM.

After that, I worked in RECOM’s warehouse for another 2.5 years. Although I was very happy with this experience, I always wanted to work in the office. RECOM honored this wish of mine and gave me the chance to move to the office department. This change enabled me to learn the work done in the office.

I’m happy that I got the opportunity to work in such a great company for so long.”

Stefan (24)

Actively supports our EMC department during his internship at RECOM

"My name is Stefan and I'm studying electrical engineering at the Technical University in Graz. During my summer holidays I have been working regularly in the EMC department in Gmunden since 2019. My job in this department is to develop measuring systems to ensure the quality of the products.

One of the projects also became my bachelor thesis. During a five-month employment, I planned and implemented a prototype measuring system for analyzing the interference immunity of power supplies. With flexible working hours and the provision of all necessary equipment and components, I received a lot of support during the development and was able to harmonize this very well with everyday university life. The writing of the work itself was of course to be done in my free time.

What I particularly like about my tasks is that my own creativity is required to solve problems and that the topics are always very interesting. What I particularly like about RECOM is that it is a future-oriented, modern company with a very good working atmosphere and that great importance is attached to employee´s satisfaction."

Viktoria (21)

Long-time intern in 2 departments at the headquarters in Gmunden

"Since 2017, I have been working at RECOM for a month every summer. Recently I have been working part-time one day a week in the HR department as an HR trainee. Due to my Matura at the HAK Gmunden and my ongoing studies in law and business law, I am particularly pleased to get an insight into the Global Accounting and Global Human Resources departments. From day one, the greatest trust was placed in me and I got the feeling that I was not "just" an intern, but part of this team.

Since my studies are mostly theoretical, I always look forward to the time at RECOM, where I can get a comprehensive insight into practice and apply what I have learned. What is particularly exciting for me is the international activities of the company.

A working day as an intern is varied and means taking on responsible tasks such as calculating or checking travel expenses and taxes and helping to draw up labor law agreements.

I am very happy about the opportunity of this internship!"

Roman (23)

Intern alongside his technical studies

"I study physical energy and measurement technology in Vienna and work part-time, one day a week, at RECOM. During previous summer internships, I was able to get to know a wide variety of departments and areas of responsibility. Since October 2021 I have been working in the quality management department as a product compliance trainee.

As an intern, you are fully involved in the work tasks and learn to understand entire processes. There is cooperative and supportive cooperation among colleagues and this ensures a pleasant working atmosphere. The opportunity to work as an intern alongside my studies is a profitable preparation for my future professional life and a welcome change from the university theory."
