The ultra-compact versatile, industrial + household + medical grade AC/DC converter series RACM40-K and RACM40-K/OFdelivers 40 watts of output power from -40°C to +65°C with natural air convection only, and up to +85°C with derating or forced air cooling. With a clear focus on extended thermal performance for systems where space is limited, these 1.6“ x 3“ compact open card units and 1.8“x3.2“ encapsulated modules are designed to gain highest overall efficiency levels over the full output load range from universal AC inputs. The RACM40-K and RACM40-K/OF have ANSI/ AAMI/IEC 60601-1 medical safety and EN 60601-1-2 medical EMC certifications and offers 4kVac/1 min isolation, 2MOPP, and is designed to meet B and BF requirements. It is additionally certified to IEC/ EN 62368-1 (CB Report) and IEC61558-1/-2-16 for industrial applications and IEC/EN 60335-1 for household appliances. The robust built-in class B EMC filter has sufficient margin to allow either Class II or Class I PELV with grounded output installations. A range of mechanical fixing options makes the RACM40-K suitable for many different mounting conditions: the standard chassis-mount part mates with Molex connectors, and the open card /PCB mountable option permits direct installation in printed circuit boards without the need for additional standoffs. Additionally, a 2“ x 3“ footprint for backward-compatibility retrofit for legacy designs is available on request.

The mechanically rugged construction of the fully potted encapsulated RACM40-K module with 1,6mm pins and additional threaded inserts gives the series enhanced stability against shock and vibrations.

    The UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) marking is a new UK product marking that is used for products being placed on the market in Great Britain (England, Wales and Scotland). It applies to the same products that are currently CE marked. The circumstances in which self-declaration of conformity for UKCA marking can be used are the same as for CE marking. Based on current UK rules, RECOM is eligible to self-declare for the UKCA Declaration of Conformity (DoC) as long as the EU and UK regulations remain aligned.
    RECOM will make available a separate UKCA Declaration of Conformity (DoC) based on the existing CE Declaration of Conformity (DoC) and test reports (self-declaration). CE marking remains valid for goods placed on the market in Great Britain until 1 January 2023. The UKCA marking must be used for placing goods on the market in Great Britain after this date. RECOM will continue to actively monitor any changes to the UKCA rules based on UK government guidance and react accordingly.

    突入電流は、コンバータ、負荷（特に容量性負荷）、および一次電源のインピーダンスに依存します。したがって、突入電流制限インダクタの推奨値はありません。これはアプリケーションごとに個別に算出する必要があるためです。とはいえ、通常は22µH〜100µHを出発点とすれば良いでしょう。
    CMCは、高電流でコアが飽和状態にならないため（+ ve突入電流は-ve突入電流によってバランスが取れます）、優れた突入電流リミッターです。したがって、EMCフィルターと突入制限という2つの目的があります。ただし、高電力コンバータの場合は、チョークの抵抗により通常の操作中に多くの電力が失われる可能性があるため、最良のEMCフィルタリングのために選択された高インダクタンスのチョークよりも、突入を低減するために選択された低インダクタンス、高電流のチョークを使用する方が良い場合があります。
    RECOM製品は全ての生産バッチにおいて出荷前にバーンインテストされています。

    エポキシポッティングプロセスは次の通りです。

    5-ケースはより硬いエポキシで密封され、50°Cで1時間ベーキングし硬化します。
    6-さらに、X線装置でスポットチェックが行われ、コンバータにエアボイドが存在しないことを確認します。
    シリコーンゴムのポッティングプロセスは次の通りです。
    1-事前に混合されたシリコンゴムコンパウンドがケースに注入されます。
    2-ケースをシェーカーに置き、振動させて気泡が表面に浮き上がるようにします。
    3-ケースは充填レベルまで補充されます。
    4-コンバーターをそのまま室温で硬化させます。
    はい、ディレーティングされている場合（フルパワーで使用されていない場合）は温度範囲外でも動作します。ただし、よりシンプルな低コストのコンバータには過熱保護機能がありませんので、長期間にわたって温度仕様外で使用すると故障する可能性があります。一方、弊社の高出力DC/DCおよびAC/DCコンバータには過熱保護機能が組み込まれています。これらコンバータは過熱するとシャットダウンします。
    一部のファミリでは10％未満の負荷で規格外になる場合がありますが、全てのRECOM製品は無負荷で使用しても問題ありません。
