AC/DC Power supplies

RECOM offers their RACM AC/DC converters in the range 40W to 1200W in encapsulated or open frame formats. Cooling options are convection, forced air, and baseplate, depending on the model. All products include medical 2 x MOPP/250VAC certification and are suitable for ‘B’ and ‘BF’ patient connect applications to at least 3000m altitude. Parts also hold model-dependent industrial, household, and IT/multimedia certification for the widest applications.

RACM AC/DC products are easy to integrate into customer systems with a universal AC input range and a wide choice of output voltages and power ratings. All parts comply with ’Class B’ conducted EMI limits without extra filtering, and some can be used in over-voltage category (OVC) III environments up to 3000m altitude.
The RACM40-K is insulation Class II, OVC III, and just 1.6” x 3”, and provides 40W to 65°C with convection cooling and to 85°C with derating. The 60W-rated RACM60-K is also Class II insulation, OVC III, and can be PCB or chassis mount. The RACM230-G is fan-less, baseplate-cooled, and rated 160W/230W peak, sized 4” x 2“. A smart 12V fan output is included. The RACM550-G is also baseplate-cooled and provides 300W/550W peak in a 5” x 3” open frame format. Control functions are provided along with a 12V fan supply and 5V standby rail. The RACM600-L provides up to 450W/600W peak or with airflow and features a single 24V output. Input range is an extra-wide 80-275VAC for global application. Control functions include active current sharing, remote sensing, on/off control, and power good. A PMBusTM is provided for external access to control functions. The fan-less RACM1200-V is rated at 1kW/1200W peak or with forced air in a class-leading 9” x 3.8” footprint. Outputs of 24V, 36V, or 48V have a wide adjustment range and control and monitoring functions are included. The outputs have a constant current overload characteristic for loads with high inrush.
