Modern electronic assemblies are often designed to be very power efficient, so that they only draw a few watts of power, especially in certain stand-by mode operation. For such applications, RECOM offers a wide range of PCB mounted AC/DC power supply modules with a rated Power from 1W to 65W, including models designed for standard wave soldering processes.

These PCB mounted AC/DC converters provide integrated power conversion in compact modules. Depending on the model, they can meet applicable safety and EMC requirements with few or no external components, simplifying design integration and reducing component count.

Models are available with input voltage ranges such as 85VAC to 264VAC or up to 305VAC for worldwide use. Selected converters support extended input voltages down to 18VAC or up to 528VAC, enabling direct phase-to-phase operation in suitable three-phase systems without an additional step-down transformer.

    PCB mounted AC/DC power supplies are used to provide localized DC power directly on a circuit board, eliminating the need for bulky external adapters or chassis-mount supplies. They are primarily utilized in industrial controls, IoT sensors, and building automation where space is at a premium and mains voltage must be converted into regulated low-voltage DC (3.3V to 48V) to power microprocessors and communication modules.
    Many RECOM PCB mounted AC/DC converters integrate input filtering and protection functions. Depending on the series and application, additional external components may be needed to meet the applicable EMC requirements. Refer to the individual datasheet for the specified test conditions and recommended circuit.
    Equipment uses double or reinforced insulation to provide protection against electric shock without relying on protective earth. Suitable Class II AC/DC modules can therefore simplify integration in applications where a protective earth connection is not available. The applicable insulation and safety approvals depend on the selected model.
    A universal input range (typically 85VAC to 264VAC) allows a single product design to support multiple regional mains voltages and DC input ranges as well, provided that regional standards are addressed on the application side by adding additional DC fuse elements. For specialized industrial environments, selected PCB mounted AC/DC converters support input voltages up to 528VAC, enabling phase-to-phase operation in suitable three-phase systems without an additional step-down transformer.
