The input is a universal 80-264 VAC and the outputs available are 24V and 48VDC for common medical applications such as motors in adjustable beds or scanners. Additionally, an ‘always on’ 5V/1.2A auxiliary supply is included along with a 12V/1A output, adjustable by PWM or voltage control, which can be used to drive a system fan, if required.

The simplest (functional) isolation of a DC/DC converter can withstand 1kVDC for one second, however this is often not sufficient for high-side gate drivers. RECOM combines the required high insulation voltage, asymmetric output voltages, and low isolation capacitance into one simple DC/DC module.
