RACM15E-K 15W AC/DCs have Open Frame and DIN Rail Options

We are pleased to now offer 15W AC/DCs in open frame and enclosed versions, suitable for chassis and DIN-rail mounting. The open RACM15E-K/OF parts are sized 3.1 x 0.9 x 0.8 inches (80 x 23.8 x 22mm) with ‘MolexTM’ connectors and the RACM15E-K/PMAD parts are in IP20-rated enclosures with push-in terminals for wire connections, sized 3.2 x 1.1 x 1.1 inches (83 x 26.4 x 29.5mm). In DIN rail applications, the parts fit in a standard 1.5 ‘module’ width with no restriction on spacing to adjacent modules.
Outputs available are 3.3V (rated 12W), 5, 12, 15, 24, and 30VDC, all fully protected against over-voltage, overload, and short circuits. In overload, the parts have a constant current limit characteristic, suitable for non-linear loads, with a self-resetting ‘hiccup’ mode for short circuits. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C, derating from 50°C ambient in still air.
The RACM15E-K series is certified for safety to IEC/EN62368-1, IEC/EN60335-1, IEC 61558, and IEC 60601-1/ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1. In medical applications, the parts are rated 2MOPP in over-voltage category II (OVCII) environments to 5000m altitude and meet maximum 100µA ‘BF’ touch current specifications for applied parts. The parts can also be used in OVCIII environments up to 3000m according to IEC61558-2-16 and IEC60335-1.
No load current is typically less than 100mW to meet eco-design requirements and conducted EMI standard EN55032 Class B is met with a floating load.
The RACM15E-K parts operate with up to 86% efficiency, contributing to their long operating life and high reliability, with an MTBF of over 1M hours according to MIL-HDBK-217, ground benign environment.
